Winter has arrived and it is my role as a member of the NeSSA board to send you this President’s message for reasons we are all sadly aware of.

I would like to start by expressing my sincerest THANK YOU to everyone I have met throughout the years who have shared their knowledge and best practices to benefit the business I represent and my personal growth. Whether you are a veteran member or new to NeSSA you still have a lot to learn, and this is the place to do that. I will be leaving the Board at the end of the year as I begin preparing for retirement, so this will be my last message.

Our 2025 dues renewal notices were sent out via email starting in October. Dues are an important part in helping NeSSA maintain a healthy financial position so we can continue to provide the same level of resources, education, and support our members deserve. We encourage you to renew online in an effort to reduce our paper footprint, which can easily be done by logging in to our website.

Thank you to those who made the 2024 Fall Retreat another success. We once again sold out of sponsorships and had a record-breaking number of attendees and exceptional education. If you haven't joined us for a live event in a while, we hope to see you at one soon!

Plan ahead to attend a great event to immerse yourself in this spring: the annual Northeast Storage EXPO is returning to Foxwoods May 14th & 15th, 2025 with co-hosts NHSSA and MeSSA. As a reminder, our Executive Director, Courtney, is expecting her first child at the end of November. You can find more information on what we've done to make this transition seamless, as well as things you can do and keep in mind during this time, through the post on our website's home page.

As we look forward to a new year, we have some exciting changes to announce. Please join me in congratulating Jessica Lamoureux, with World Insurance Associates as she steps into her new role as your President.  We also want to welcome our new board members, Lou Barnholdt with Universal Storage Group, Chris Dufault with RJ Kelly Company, Steve Lucas with The Storage Group, Sabrina Oliver with U-Haul Company of Eastern MA and Robbie Smith with Drive-Up Storage.
